European chemical Substances Information System (ESIS) is a system that provides
information on chemicals, related to:
- EINEC (European Inventory of Existing Commercial Substances)
general information concerning a chemical substance
like CAS number,
EINECS number, Substance Name and Chemical Formula
- ELINCS (European List of Notified Chemical
Substances)
general information concerning a chemical substance
like CAS number,
ELINCS number or Substance Name
- HPVCs (High Production Volume Chemicals) and LPVCs (Low Production
Volume Chemicals), including EU Producers/Importers lists
information on the HPVCs and the LPVCs, where data
have been
reported by Industry
- Classification and Labelling (Risk and Safety
Phrases, Danger etc...)
- ORATS (Online EUropean Risk
Assessment Tracking System)
information on the progress of implementation of Council
Regulation
(EEC) 793/93 also known as Existing Substances Regulation
(ESR).
- IUCLID (International Uniform
Chemical Information Data Base) Chemical
Data Sheets
extracts of data from the IUCLID on High Production Volume Chemicals
reported by European Industry in the frame of the European existing
chemicals
risk assessment programme
- Priority Lists
lists of priority substances which require
immediate attention because
of their potential effects to man or the environment
Purpose
ESIS is a database containing general information and specific information
reported by industry on chemicals, especially priority and High Production
Volyme (HPV) chemicals.
Description
The user can search for a chemical by its CAS or EINECS number. |
