Environmental label - Type II
The Type II labeling program is for the self-declaration of claims. Manufacturers simply declare the information they wish to declare about the
environmental attributes of their products. There are no set criteria, no bar to
get over. The Type II standard attempts to do two things: to establish general
guidelines for environmental claims and to define and provide rules for the use
of specific terms and symbols.
