EPD example: MEHEC
This EPD is made in order to communicate the environmental performance of Methyl
Ethyl HydroxyEthyl Cellulose or MEHEC produced by Akzo Nobel, Cellulosic
Specialties in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.
MEHEC provides water retention and
suitable consistency to hydraulic binders. It is manufactured from cellulose and
modified with methyl, ethyl and hydroxyethyl substituents to make the product
water-soluble. The end product is a free-flowing, whitish powder.

EPD example: Frequency Converter
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for Comp-AC type ACS 400 frequency
converter, 4 kW power produced by ABB Industry Oy in Finland provides easy
accessible and comparable information regarding the environmental performance of
the product.
The declaration includes information about extraction and
production of raw materials, manufacturing of main parts, assembly,
transportation and use of the product, dismantling, fragmentation, disposal and
recycling of scrap at the end of life.
