Assessment tools
Environmental assessment is a systematic process designed to identify,
analyze and evaluate the
environmental effects
of a product or an activity. The
aim of the process is to identify any foreseeable adverse impacts throughout the
life cycle of a product. Environmental Assessment allows effective integration
of environmental considerations and public concerns into decision-making.
The
environmental assessment
tools and methods demonstrated and assessed in the DANTES project are divided into:
Life Cycle Assessment, Environmental Risk Assessment, Life Cycle Cost and
Eco-efficiency.
